Shopping for formal gowns for me has always been a catch 22. Currently, the bulk of my formal gown shopping is for my high school girls to attend dances. I love to support local and go try things on... but let's be honest, small town gown shopping is expensive. From homecoming to prom, it's always been hard to find a dress the girls LOVE, feel comfortable in and isn't too revealing AND is affordable.
My goals in selecting dresses for the shop are:
#1 Affordable. It's my priority to have a wide selection of dresses, long and short, that are under $100.
#2 Appropriate for Teenage Girls. I am a mom of girls, it's amazing what is out there for dresses that show a little too much and maybe need a little more fabric. Appropriate also means something that the girls feel beautiful in and not like they are wearing their mom's old formal. So, I work to find the happy medium. Some modesty with following trends and something that compliments different sizes.
#3 Wide Variety of Styles. Each girl is different in their likes and preferences. Some things that are all about the fun ... Some things that are a little more classic and somethings that are trendy.
